Chaos Dev Bot - Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Chaos Dev ("we", "us", or "our"). By adding the Chaos Dev Discord Bot (the "Bot") to your Discord server, or by utilizing its services (including commands, support systems, and configuration dashboards), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please remove the Bot from your server and discontinue its use immediately.

These terms govern your usage of our Bot, dashboard, and related services, and constitute a binding legal agreement between you and the Chaos Dev administration.

2. Description of Service

Chaos Dev is a multi-feature Discord utility bot designed to facilitate server administration, suggestion collection boards, user progression (XP & Leveling), community forums support, release tracking, and patcher telemetry tools.

Features are subject to change, enhancement, or removal at any time without prior notice. While we strive to maintain consistent uptime, certain maintenance intervals or network issues may lead to temporary downtime.

3. User Conduct

By using the Bot, you agree not to engage in any activity that disrupts the service or compromises its security. Prohibited behaviors include but are not limited to:

Automating command invocations (spamming commands) in a manner that strains Discord API or our server endpoints.
Intentionally exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended vulnerabilities within the Bot logic or SQLite backend databases.
Attempting unauthorized access to server files, uploads, configurations, or administrative interfaces.
Using the suggestion board system or support forums to upload malicious payloads, executable scripts, or offensive contents.

Important: Violating user conduct rules will result in an immediate blacklist from using our tools and the Bot.

4. Data & Backups

To deliver our progression (XP) and suggestion services, the Bot stores server IDs, user IDs, and corresponding logs. The security and use of this data is outlined in detail in our Privacy Policy.

We perform regular automated backups, but we do not guarantee complete protection against data loss caused by unexpected hardware failures, SQLite corruption, or API changes. We recommend manually noting vital configuration states for crucial roles.

5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

In no event shall Chaos Dev, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use, inability to use, or performance of the Bot (including but not limited to loss of user XP data, server settings configuration resets, or moderation faults).

6. Termination

We reserve the absolute right to suspend, terminate, or restrict access to our services for any user, guild, or server at our sole discretion, without warning or explanation. This typically occurs in cases of abuse, spamming, violation of our conduct policies, or actions that degrade the experience of other community members.

You may terminate your agreement with us at any time by kicking/banishing the Bot from your server, which will stop active collection of telemetry and settings events.
